Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Phalahi, Hoshiarpur came into existence in July 2002. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Phalahi is a residential co-educational institution, with classes VI to XII. It has two streams at the +2 level - Science & Commerce. The Vidyalaya is spread over 30 acres of land well connected with the road network. It has separate hostels for boys & girls and a beautiful dining hall, gym hall and various grounds for games and sports. Since its inception, being a residential school, all the staff members are provided with free accommodation - staff quarters. All the students and staff stay in the campus premises.
The school is gradually carving its own name and popularity under the ripe guidance and direction of the worthy Chairman Ms. Apneet Riyait (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur and Deputy Commissioner, Smt. Capt. Teena Dheer, NVS, RO, Chd. We are confident that the institution will reach greater heights in all fields with the team work of Vidyalaya administration and grace of Almighty.
The vision and Mission of the Vidyalaya is to develop overall personality of the child. Alongwith studies the students are motivated and provided the environment to take part in CCA and Games & Sports. The students of the Vidyalaya are adding feathers to the school by bringing laurels in the CBSE results every year and every year 5-6 students take part SGFI competitions. Apart from it, as per the need of the day, they are being sensitized about the environment. Accordingly cleanliness drive and plantation forms a core part of the curriculum. The students and the staff members had developed and maintained beautiful lawns and trees. The stress is also on inculcating core values among the students.
