Navodaya Vidyalayas are the prime residential co-educational institutions imparting quality education to the talented children predominantly from rural areas. They are initiated pursuant to The New Education Policy 1986. They are over 598 Vidyalayas throughout the country. It is located near Sametri Village, on the state highway of Ahemedabad-Modasa. It is situated 40 km away from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. It is established in the year 1999-2000. Our goal is to promate the overall development of a child and to make them energetic person with good human values who has acquired the content, knowledge, application and understanding abilities through class room learning and develop himself into a physically fit mentally alert, economically productive, emotionally balanced, socially useful human beings with qualities of discipline, determination, devotion, confidence, commitment, courage, competency and compassion. I am happy to inform that this vidyalaya has been providing very good results in X and XII classes from the beginning. This vidyalaya organized many programmes like Games and Sports meets, Integration meet, Science cogress, Rajyabhasha etc under the guidance of NVS, R.O. Pune. Let me take the privilege to thank our Hon ble Commissioner & Deputy Commisssioner Navodaya Vidyalaya samiti and District Collector,. Gandhinagar for all help, guidance and advice for the development of our vidyalaya.
