Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pipalkoti, Chamoli was inaugurated on 20.07.2001 in a School building in Pipalkoti, Badrinath Road.To provide good quality, modern education including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of environment, adventure activities and physical education to the talented children from the rural areas, without regard to their family’s socio-economic condition. the school had mini migration from other JNVs. Science stream for class XII started in 2005-2006. From thet day onwords the school has been achieving milestones not only in acadmics but in sports, CCA and Pace Setting activities. It has come forword as a leading organization and model school for the the whole district. Students from the school have been selected in IITs, Medical Collages(MBBS) and in Administrative services. Presently school is having science stream at senior secondary level with total of total of 21 teachers and 15 other staff.
