Welcome to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Samba, a co-educational residential school situated at Nud, a village set on the banks of the famous Basantar Khad, 12 km from the town of Samba, on the Samba-Udhampur road. Admission to the Vidyalaya is made in class VI through an open test conducted at District level by Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The Vidyalaya seeks to promote and develop talented and bright children, predominantly from rural areas, who may otherwise be denied good educational opportunities. The Vidyalaya provides state of the art facilities free of cost, and at par with the best schools in India.

After class X, the vidyalaya offers three streams to its students, i.e. Science, Commerce and the Vocational Stream Tourism & Hospitality. Ours is the only school in the state that offers this vocational stream under the aegis of CBSE.
