Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya ,Konark,Puri started functioning in the campus of Erabang High school,Erabang on 26th November 2001 and it was shifted to this campus on 1st September 2007 .Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Konark has been relentlessly putting consistent efforts in achieving academic excellence, inculcation of cultural values, competency in 3 languages ,promotion of adventure spirit, National Integration and ultimately towards the holistic growth of the personality of the children. Children with special talent and aptitude are provided opportunities to progress at a faster pace by providing good quality education irrespective of their capacity to pay for it. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya konark has enabled students to compete with their urban counterparts on an equal footing.
Our school houses an NSS unit and a Scout & Guide unit. The Vidyalaya is upgraded to ‘A’ level from the academic session of 2013-14 and we have started taking admission of 80 students in class-VI having two sections of 40 each. At present we have 02 sections each from class VI to X and single section in XI &XII i.e. Science stream.
