The Government of India has setup the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) at NITI Aayog. Realizing the need to create scientific temper and cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation among young minds, AIM proposes to support the establishment of a network of Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL). ATL is a workspace where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands-on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills.

The moto of making Jnv was to provide the best education to the rural/urban students who cant afford good education. Jnvs are meant to be fully residential school. So no one is allowed to stay outside of the hostel.

Samsung Smart Class has increased student attention in classrooms, reduced rates of student absenteeism and increased student familiarity and comfort with technology such as smart boards, tablets, laptops and printers, according to feedback from teachers and school principals of JNVs. Samsung Smart Class also helps students learn complicated concepts more easily, besides encouraging shy and hesitant students to participate better in classroom discussions.

The biology laboratory is a modern research infrastructure, providing a broad range of biological and biochemical techniques with in-depth practical training offered by experienced staff. Important routine work is on microbial and molecular analyses and biological sample preparation in general

The Vidyalaya has facilities well-equipped CHEMISTRY laboratory.Our students get a virtual experience of experiments on the Educomp smart board and the crocodile physics which they thoroughly enjoy. Although the front of the room is fitted with blackboards and Educomp Smart board and a large demonstration table, the students spend most of their time at their lab tables performing their own experiments. There’s a computer in the lab for the students to reach for data collection and analysis. There is ample space in the middle of the room for large scale experiments. The lab is very well equipped with instruments, like- meter bridges, battery eliminators, potentiometers, Hooke’s apparatus, etc.

Our Vidyalaya Library provides the right environment for enriching students skill in reading. It treasures books on Education, Science, Literature, Philosophy and General Knowledge besides possessing 30 Periodicals, Journals, Magazines and Newspaper. The library contains around 13000 volumes of Academic reference books and childrens literature. Over 40 periodicals of cultural and academic interest are subscribed to. Computerization work of the bibliographical data is on and will be completed soon. The CAREER CORNER in the library guides students to find suitable and rewarding careers. It subscribes to at least 5 periodicals specifically meant to prepare students for Competitive exams like IIT, JEE, Kerala Entrance Examinations and NEET by the CBSE.

“A sound mind in a sound body” goes the saying. In accordance with the dictum, considerable importance is given to the physical training of students. The morning P.T has ingredients like Jogging, Yoga, Mass Drill Displays and Discipline-Specific coaching. The evening sessions starts at 4 p.m and lasts for two hours. There are facilities for all the major outdoor games like Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Kho kho, cricket and indoor games like Shuttle badminton, Table Tennis and Chess. The school fields at least five players every year to represent Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi at the National level in the Schools Games Federation of India (SGFI) tournaments. The trick of the trade is that the children showing talents for sports are identified as soon as they get admitted and then a discipline suitable for each child is identified and specific coaching is given.

The Art Club aims at creating an aesthetic sense in the minds of students in general and train the talented students in drawing, painting and making sculptures. They will be involved to write inspiring popular quotations and undertake artistic work at various prominent areas of the vidyalaya campus. The club is also expected to conduct Annual Art exhibition. The club members meet once in a week to carryout works as per the chalked out Action Plan. The beautiful works of our students are displayed at prominent places of the vidyalaya. The Art club also involves in the preparation of Shadow Art which is the typical hallmark of our JNV. Every Annual day, the Art Club members come up with their innovations to enthrall the audience. The school has a regular Art teacher who imparts training in the field to students from classes VI to XII.
