The "Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana" (KVPY) विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग (डीएसटी), भारत सरकार द्वारा 1999 में एक कार्यक्रम शुरू किया गया है, जो छात्रों को विज्ञान में अनुसंधान करियर बनाने के लिए बुनियादी विज्ञान की पढ़ाई करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता है। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य शोध में कैरियर बनाने के लिए प्रतिभाशाली और प्रेरित छात्रों की पहचान करना और प्रोत्साहित करना है।

इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य छात्रों को उनकी क्षमता का एहसास कराने और देश में अनुसंधान और विकास के लिए सर्वोत्तम वैज्ञानिक प्रतिभा को तैयार करना है।

• Baseline Survey in JNVs by Karta Initiative India Foundation and their research partners (Nielsen India Private Limited).

  Karta Initiative India Foundation (KIIF) is an NGO which has come support in identification and encouragement of the children for their higher education after Class XII in globally known best Universities.   KIIF is a charitable initiative to support talent children to have best education with a view to work for the welfare of the society in India through various initiatives. Below mentioned 6 children from JNVs have been able to make it to get the support from the KIIF and are pursuing their education in best universities in the world.

  All the above JNV alumni are doing well with their high score in the program being pursued and are committed to excel in their career and to serve back country. Following are the features of the effort:

  1. Children who are capable of taking higher studies are considered with the concurrence of the parents.
  2. Support to students are provided with required skills to apply and face the admission process in International  Universities.
  3. Training in language proficiency is provided by NVS.
  4. Arranging visit to summer schools prior to processing of application, wherever necessary.
  5. Helping in completion of the formalities for Passport, Visa and required test in support of admission.
  6. Arranging financial support i.r.o. travel to the country of admission and arranging financial support towards education and living expenses etc. upto completion of studies.

   Selected Navodaya Vidyalayas are part of the Karta Initiative’s access programme for low income talent from rural India.
