जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय, वाशिम की स्थापना 1994-95 में महाराष्ट्र के अकोला जिले के लखला, वाशिम में हुई थी।
विद्यालय रिसोड़ रोड पर, वाशिम से 2 किलोमीटर दूर और बॉम्बे-कलकत्ता राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या 6 पर जिला
मुख्यालय से 85 किलोमीटर दूर अकोला में स्थित था, जिसमें पर्याप्त / विशिष्ट प्रशासनिक ब्लॉक था जिसमें 22 कमरे
थे और एक बड़ा भोजन सहित 44 कमरे थे। शिक्षा उप-निदेशक, अमरावती दिवस द्वारा हॉल और कुछ स्टाफ क्वार्टर
प्रदान किए जाते हैं। अमरावती।
श्री। सी। बी। लाल, मुख्य अभियंता, केंद्रीय पीडब्ल्यूडी ने माननीय की उपस्थिति में
विद्यालय परिसर की आधारशिला रखी। संजय षष्ठी, आईएएस, जिला मजिस्ट्रेट और अध्यक्ष, 15 फरवरी 1999 को
VMC। विद्यालय परिसर के निर्माण कार्य का पहला चरण 18 महीने में पूरा हुआ और विद्यालय अपने अस्थायी स्थल
से नवम्बर 2000 में स्थायी स्थल पर स्थानांतरित हो गया।
