I feel privileged, proud and happy to serve as the Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Nongstoin. The first objective of education is to create a capable, responsible citizen and good human being. JNVs are the prestigious institution of India where quality and modern education is provided to the talented students mainly from rural areas irrespective of their socio-economic background. It is my belief and faith that the school will strive to achieve 100% target as per the National Education Policy 2020 and the norms of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Nongstoin is a natural landscape full of undulating land covered with lush green trees and surrounded by small hills on all sides. Situated in a picturesque environment of nature, this school is full of modern physical facilities. I believe that school is a social institution. The relationship between society and school is interconnected.

The school is making every possible effort by setting up better coordination with the society, other educational institutions and district administration in order to develop every aspect of personality of children of this district and there by to raise the standard of education in West Khasi Hills.
