LIBRARY ACTIVITIES: Library is the treasure of knowledge and hub of all academic activities of the Vidyalaya and the Librarian plays a vital role in mobilizing the library resources for the benefit of the students and staff. It is essential in teaching and learning for all. It provides information and ideas that are fundamental to function successfully in today’s knowledge society. It helps in equipping students with life-long learning skills enabling them to live as responsible citizens. It offers learning services, books and resources that enable effective users of information in all formats & media. The Library collection must include attractive information books on various subjects, Multimedia resources, Databases, Electronic periodicals and Quality Internet sites.

Education, in the broad sense, can be considered as any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character, or physical ability of an individual. Formal education is the process by which society, through schools, colleges, universities and other institutions, deliberately transmits its cultural heritage, accumulated knowledge, values, and skills from one generation to another. Participation in physical activities and sports and games provide students with an opportunity to develop their decision-making, problem solving and social skills through a health enhancing environment. That is why JNVs are providing ample opportunities for the children to participate in various games and sports activities which contribute to their overall personality development.

Smart Classrooms are technology enhanced classrooms that foster opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating learning technology, such as computers, specialized software, audience response technology, assistive listening devices, networking, and audio/visual capabilities. Samsung Company has initiated the Smart Classroom project in Navodaya Vidyalayas as a part of its CSR initiative of giving back to the community. This project helps in improving the quality of education in the Vidyalaya. This Samsung Smart Classroom project helps the teacher and student to enhance the quality of education, to instill the habit of e-learning and making the learning experience engaging and interesting with multimedia.

Experimentation substantiates all scientific knowledge and understanding. Laboratories are wonderful venues for teaching and learning science. They helps the students to think, discuss and solve the real problems in physics. It brings clarity in the mind of the students regarding the basic concept of the subject. It also helps a student in improvising their approach towards the subject. Freedom to do research in the school laboratories within the scope of their own capabilities would not only allow the children to develop the passion in science but also aspire for career in science.

Laboratory activities have a distinctive and central role in the chemistry curriculum as a means of making sense of the natural world. For many years chemistry educators have suggested that many benefits accrue from engaging students in the science laboratory. The wide written array of literature illustrates that, the laboratory provides a unique mode of instruction, learning, and assessment. It gives a practical experience in chemistry education. The theoretical discussion followed in the class is reinstated by a more practical part that deals with various approaches in the chemistry laboratory

The study of biology provides students with opportunities to develop an understanding of our living world. Biology is the study of life and its evolution. It is the study of organisms and their structures, functions, processes. Scientific inquiry is the primary process by which scientific knowledge is gained. It involves the basic skills of questioning, prediction, qualitative and quantitative observation, classification, inference and communication. So the role of Biology laboratory in the field of learning Biology becomes a key component. The Children are utilizing this lab for making their learning more effective.
