Co-curricular Activities (CCA) ensures the harmonious growth of personality in children. CCA are an extension of the formal learning experiences and play a vital role in supplementing the academic activities. They develop interest and help to improve language skill, Communicative skill, Histrionic skill and the artistic skill of the child. CCA also help to improve analytical thrust for knowledge competitive spirit, value orientation, leadership teamwork and various other facets of life. To inculcate all the said qualities, quiz, recitation, extempore speech, elocution, debate, mono act, fancy dress, competitions are conducted in JNVs as per a well planned CCA calendar throughout the academic year. Co-curricular Activities are organized frequently through Inter-House Competitions at senior and junior level with a view to make the students achieve competence and self-confidence. Co-curricular Activities cover all the areas which ensure development of holistic personality and every JNV is providing ample opportunities to the students to develop their inborn talents and abilities through CCA. In addition to this, various clubs like Eco, Literary, Science, Mathematics, Cultural, Arts, Music, Readers, Health & wellness and Hindi club in the Vidyalaya also conduct numerous events to enrich the students in their particular field. Further, Navodaya family under one roof promotes national integration policy, celebrates regional, religious and national festivals much to the unique principle and feeling of oneness.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs celebrated Swachhata Pakhwada from 1st to 15th Sept 2023. This annual event is a part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, which is a flagship programme initiated by the Central Government to fulfill Mahatma Gandhis dream of a clean and hygienic India. In our school we conducted various activities under the Program of Swachhata Pakwada such as Cleaning school campus, dormitory, cleaning near by Hospital, Awareness program conducted in near by school, conduct drawing competition, slogan writting etc.
Hindi Pakhwada is celebrated every year from 14 September to 28 September or 1 September to 14 September in all the offices, undertakings, enterprises, institutions of the Government of India. September 14 is celebrated as Hindi Day. The message of the Union Home Minister of the Government of India is published on 14th September. As the Chairman of the Central Hindi Committee, the message of the Prime Minister of India and the President of India is also issued. In order to create awareness about the official language Hindi, there is a provision to organize many Hindi programs, competitions, poet conferences, seminars, official language conferences at the Indian level during the Hindi Pakhwada. On the occasion of Hindi Day, students and teachers who got prizes various competition in the Hindi were honored.
Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign is being celebrated from 15th September to 2nd October this year under the joint aegis of DDWS & MoHUA for undertaking shramdaan activities aiming to generate jan andolan through community participation; to provide impetus on implementation of SBM; to disseminate the importance of a sampoorna swachh village; to reinforce the concept of Sanitation as everyones business; and as a prelude for the Swachh Bharat Diwas (2nd October) with nationwide participation. Theme of SHS-2023 is Garbage Free India with focus on visual cleanliness and welfare of SafaiMitras. In our school, we also conducted various activities under the program of Swachhata Hi Seva, Conducted shramadhan activity like cleaning school campus and surrounding area under the activity of "Ek Tareek Ek Ghanta" on Oct 1 2023.
