Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Minicoy, Lakshadweep is a co-educational institution established in 1988 functions under Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, which is an autonomous organization under the auspices of the Dept of School Education & Literacy. JNV, Minicoy, Lakshadweep is under Hyderabad region. The JNV is shifted into the permanent site on 14/08/2001. The Vidyalaya is placed under B category with a capacity to accomodate maximum 280 students The JNV is a co-educational residential school providing free education to the rurally talented children hailing from various islands of Lakshadweep with classes from VI to XII (Science) stream, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with affiliation No: 324001. The School is located in Minicoy, a beautiful coral island which is about 400 kms away from Cochin, Kerala. The school is housed in a small but beautiful 3.50 acre adjescent ot Nacal detachment Minicoy. The is campus dotted with coconut trees in the heart of the island. The campus consists of a massive Academic Block, separate dormitories for boys and girls with sufficient capacity, a well-designed Dining Hall-cum-Kitchen, and Staff Quarters. Teaching staff & non teaching staff including the Principal is comfortably accommodated inside the campus to ensure better monitoring of school activities..
