20 दिसंबर, 1986 सबसे शुभ दिन था जब जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय, रोइंग, निचली दिबांग घाटी अरुणाचल प्रदेश की आधारशिला रखी गई थी। स्कूल का परिसर लगभग 50 एकड़ के जंगली पहाड़ी क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है, जिसकी इमारतें खड़ी और घुमावदार रास्तों से जुड़ी हुई हैं और हर मोड़ पर शानदार दृश्य प्रस्तुत करती हैं। इन इमारतों में सुंदर पुराना क्वाड, आधुनिक अत्याधुनिक बुनियादी ढांचा और नव-नवीनीकृत छात्र छात्रावास और स्टाफ हाउस शामिल हैं। कई कक्षाओं सहित शैक्षणिक भवन एक कंप्यूटर नेटवर्क से जुड़े हुए हैं।
