Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bajkum was established in the year 1992. It is located in the beautiful Latehar district of Jharkhand state, which is known for its natural environment, forest, forest products and mineral deposits. Latehar remained a part of Palamau District as a sub division since 1924. The school is situated 4km away from the main town Latehar, at an elevation of 387 m, with an extreme temperature of 31 Degree C, Wind NE at 3 km/h, 47% Humidity, Lattitude- 23.74 N Longitude- 84.51 E.
