ABOUT JNV-LAKHIMPUR, ASSAM
- Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is a co-educational residential Vidyalaya under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. JNV-Lakhimpur, Assam comes under the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Headquarter, Noida and Regional Office, Shillong.
- The Vidyalaya was established in 1996-1997 and started functioning in 1997 of Lakhimpur District, Assam.
- The Permanent site of JNV-Lakhimpur was laid at Choudhapunia, the foundation stone by Shri Utpal Dutta, Honourable PHE Minister, Assam on 6-08-2000.
- The Vidyalaya campus consists of 30 acres of land and is situated at Choudhapunia, P.O. Panbari, Pin-784164 at a distance of 1.5 Km from state highway-43 and 7 KM from Narayanpur Post Office as well as Bihpuria Post Office. The nearest Railway Station, Tatibahar is located at a distance 12 Km and Airport, Lilabari, Lakhimpur is located at a distance 52 Km away from the venue Vidyalaya.
