26 फरवरी, 2018 सबसे शुभ दिन था जब जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय, खुंटी का शिलान्यास किया गया। सांसद कड़िया मुंडा। मॉडल स्कूल के भवन में स्कूल अस्थायी स्थल पर चल रहा है। ग्राउंड फ्लोर मॉडल स्कूल के नीचे है, और जेएनवी पहली मंजिल पर चल रहा है। अब तक का उच्चतम वर्ग IX है। यह खूंटी शहर से 3.5 किमी और डीसी, खुंटी के कार्यालय से 6 किमी दूर है। खुंटी के आसपास कई पर्यटन स्थल हैं जैसे हेनेरी पार्क, पंचघाघ झरना, बाघमुंडा आदि।
