About JNV Khagaria
The 20th Dec, 1994 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Khagaria, Bihar was laid down by Hon District Magistrate, Khagaria Sri Ram Lakhan Prasad. The school campus covers around 7.5 acres of Land. The buildings are temporary Quarters of PWD Department and the Academic block are the old stores and godowns. Since establishment till date, the Vidyalaya is running at the initial temporary structure itself. Several efforts are made by the Vidyalay administration and district administration but still the permanent land could not be made available even after 25 years. Recently in the year 2019, Sri Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar had announced during his visit to khagaria that land will be made available soon. The District Magistrate Khagaria has sent a proposal to the goverment of Bihar for its approval which is still awaited. The Vidyalaya is located beside NH-107 at Sonvarshaghat at a distance of 30 kms from the district headquaters.
