JNV KANNAUJ Established in 2003-04  from temporary building near by kotwali Gursaiganj .Vidyalaya shifted in their own buidling  in 30TH  MARCH , 2007 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, ANAUGI KANNAUJ was laid down by Hon'ble Shri D.C.D , District Magistrate of KANNAUJ. The school campus covers around 32.81 acres of land. Vidyalaya Situated in Anaugi Jalalabad road  Distance from G.T Road  (Kanpur-Delhi Road)  is 02.4 K.M.      

  The academic buildings including several classrooms are linked by a computer network. The widespread use of email and an intranet system shrinks the distances and keeps staff, students and administration in quick and easy contact with one another. The Vidyalaya is surrounded by the grove of Neem ,Sheesham,Mango and other green trees.

Kannauj is one among the most ancient place of India having rich archeological and cultural heritage, The ancient name of this place is Kanyakubja or Mahodya (as per Balmiki Ramayana, Mahabharat and Puran) later name kanyakubja was changed as Kannauj the present name of the District.

The early history of the region now covered by the present district of Kannauj  goes back to remote antiquity. During the Bronze age numerous pre historical weapons and tools were find here. Large numbers of stone statues are found here. Kannauj can claim great antiquity in sculpture. The Aryans settled in this region who were close allies of   Kurus. The traditional history of the district from the earliest times till the end of The Mahabharata war is gleaned from the Puranas & Mahabharata .
