JNV MAWSYNRAM East Khasi Hills-II was established in September 2009 which comes under Ministry of Education, Dept of School Education & Literacy(Govt of India) and started its functioning at temporary site in the buildings of C & RD Block Mawsynram East Khasi Hills provided by State Govt. From Shillong it is bout 65 KM. The village Mawsynram is known for the wettest place of the world. The school consists of classes VI to X. In nature it is co-educational and residential Vidyalaya which is fully funded by Govt of India.Vidyalaya has separate Classrooms for Class VI to X, Science Lab, Computer Lab, M.I room ,Staff room and Library. Kitchen & dining hall arrrangement are made in temporary structure which is prepared & covered by GI sheet. Vidyalaya made stay arrangement for Boys & Girls separately in GI sheet covered rooms with functional toilets & bathrooms.Vidyalaya has no boundary wall. It is open from all sites. Some sports and games activities are arranged on the available playground at temporary site.
The construction work Phase-A permanent buildings have been started on the allotted permanent land of Vidyalaya which is situated on shillong Mawsynram road and about 2 KM away from temporary site of Vidyalaya.
