From the Principal’s desk

    “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”

These were the words of profound wisdom by Nelson Mandela. Quality education to talented children from rural areas which is the fundamental principle of JNVs can indeed play a pivotal role in the nation building process and change the face of it. In JNV, Ernakulum, we are committed to providing the children with a caring and supportive family-like environment so as to nurture their body, mind and spirit through a holistic approach. Our objective is to enrich the students with the power of knowledge by technology-oriented pedagogical practices, equip them with requisite skills through hands-on experience, hone their creativity through exploration & experimentation and strengthen their morality through Value Education. 

Our sources of strength are an industrious and unified team of staff, serene atmosphere, disciplined and motivated children whereas our challenges are- to equip the students to face the ever growing demands of the modern world, to help them excel in the prevailing cut-throat competitions and to build their confidence to cope with the stress. I am confident that we provide a conducive environment in our JNV to help the students develop a passion for learning to become life-long learners, self-reliant and self directive so that they grow up as caring, conscious and responsible citizens ready to lead the nation, thereby fulfilling the objectives of Navodaya.

Through our committed hard work, we have been able to sustain our position as one among the top ten high-performing through our impressive Board results of 2022-23. It is a well-known fact that sustaining our position is even more difficult than reaching the summit. We have got to develop effective strategies, enhance our commitment, reinforce our strengths and rectify our drawbacks to be successful in our Herculean task of retaining our position.  Let us recall the few lines of Robert Frost and reassert ourselves.
