Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,Silvassa,is situated in U.T.Dadra & Nagar Haveli which is about 491 Sq.km of area was established in 1986 in Village Rakholi – temporary site. It was shifted to the permanent site on 1990 in Village Sili which is 12 km away from the District Head Quarter Silvassa. At present the total strength of Vidyalaya is 443 and running smoothly under the leadership of MR.V.B VAIDYA, Incharge
Silvassa the capital city of Dadra & Nagar Haveli is situated 10 km from Vidyalaya .The nearest railway station is Vapi which is approximately 25 km from the Vidyalaya .Daman, a tourist place and neighboring JNV is above 35 km from the Vidyalaya .Mumbai the Metropolitan city is above 267 km from the Vidyalaya .
D.N.H which is dominated by the tribal people worthly “Varli” tribe is tourist place . The main tourist hubs are Lion Safari , and Deer Park –Vasna, Khanvel Sports and Tourist complex ,Tribal Cultural Museum – Silvassa , Hirwa Van Garden – Piparia,VanGanga Garden – Dadra etc….The Union Territory is popularly called on “Land of All Seasons”
