Youth Parliament

  • Youth Parliament is a platform offered to the students of Navodaya Vidyalaya to develop democratic ethos. It is to encourage students to take an interest in citizenship activities, and the Parliament.Youth parliament provides theactive learning platform where our students learn to take quick decisions, teamwork, expressing their views, standing by each other, giving constructive criticism and above all, learning to form opinions on issues of national importance. It is a holistic learning. It is a mock parliament set up and exposure to the parliamentary type debate. Ministry of Parliament Affairs in consultation with NVS introduced the scheme of National Youth Parliament competition in JNVs.

    • In our Vidyalaya this year Youth Parliament was conducted. A team of teachers was nominated to train the students for the mock parliament. Also sufficient amount of preparation time is provided to them so that Youth Parliaments can be a rewarding, memorable, enjoyable and educative experience for organizers, participants and other students watching the youth parliament.

  • The aim of youth parliament is to expose new generation to the issues related to parliamentary democracy.
  • Every youngsters get equal rights.
  • As a result of discussion on a issues by young people the answer to the question of parliament.
  • Strengthening of India's parliamentary democracy governance system and train the students to solve their problems democratically.
  • Boost expression skill in youngsters.
  • Develop reasoning power in youngsters. 
  • Creating the interest towards the parliament in young people.
  • To attract public attention to immediate issues like GST, Note ban, India Pak relationship, India-Chaina Relationship, Naxal Suit.

  • Developing the skills of putting your ideas on the parliament panel.
