During the World war II, the authorities have faced the problem of finding sufficient number of gratified Indian officers for the armed forces. Though large posse of young men applied, majority were lacking rudimentary qualities solicited by the uniform-forces. In this back ground NATIONAL CADET CORPS, popularly known as N.C.C. was established in 1948 by an act of parliament Keeping in view the changing pattern, the aim and objectives of the NCC have been under went so many changes and presently the aims of the NCC is follows
AIMS:
The NCC is neither a second line of defense nor a Para-military force but it is a basically YOUTH MOVEMENT based in schools.

NCC offers a wide spectrum of activities classified into five main areas.
INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING :
It is paramount amongst these and it includes conduct of Annual training camps-RepublicDay camp-123, National Intigration camp,Thal sainik camp, community development is another area in which cadets have set an example by involving in various activities Vij., adult literacy, anti-drug, anti-leprosy and AIDS awareness campaigning and painting of trees to preserve ecology etc. N.C.C Unit started in our Vidyalaya during the Academic Year 2004 – 2005 with the Cadet strength 19.

The Aims of the NCC is to develop discipline, character, brotherhood, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Not only these, it also aims to enlighten leadership qualities among the youth who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. It also motivates the young to choose a career in armed forces.
The Motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline”
In 1954 the existing tricolor flag was introduced. The three colours in the flag depict the three services in the Corps, red for Army, deep blue for Navy and light blue for the Air Force. The letters NCC and the NCC crest in gold in the middle of the flag encircled by a wreath of lotus, give the flag a colourful look and a distinct identity. Each lotus represents one NCC Directorate.
“We the cadets of the national cadet corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizens of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings”.
