YOUTH PARLIAMENT

With a view to strengthening the roots of democracy, inculcate healthy habits of discipline, tolerance of the views of others and to enable the student community to know about the working of Parliament, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs in consultation with NVS introduced the scheme of National Youth Parliament competition in JNVs.

Youth parliament has a special importance in developing an insight in the young students. Thus, the purpose of having Youth Parliament in NVS is:

1. To make students understand the parliamentary procedure.
2. To develop in students an insight into the working of parliament
3. To make students consider public issues and form their opinion on them.
4. To train students in the technique of group discussions.
5. To develop in them respect and tolerance for the views of others, respect for rules, and to train them in group behaviour.
6. To make students aware of various problems being faced by our society and the country.
7. To develop in students the qualities of leadership.
8. To make students understand the common man’s point of view and express it in an articulated manner.

Regional Office will identify FOUR New Vidyalayas every year in addition to the FOUR already identified Vidyalayas for the conduct of Youth Parliament competitions in the region every year. These identified 8 Vidyalayas are to conduct Youth Parliament competition for two continuous years in their respective Vidyalayas.

Basing on the judgment of a jury of judges at Vidyalaya level one best team will be identified at Regional level for competing at National Level. The best performed Vidyalaya at National Level competition will get an opportunity to witness the proceeding of the Parliament sessions. The best performers of the identified 1rogramme1 at both Regional & Nationals Levels will get Trophies and Mementoes from the Ministry of Parliamentary affairs.

युवा संसद

लोकतंत्र की जड़ों को मजबूत करने की दृष्टि से, अनुशासन की स्वस्थ आदतों, दूसरों के विचारों को सहन करने और छात्र समुदाय को संसद के कामकाज के बारे में जानने में सक्षम बनाने के लिए, संसदीय कार्य मंत्रालय ने NVS के परामर्श से राष्ट्रीय युवा योजना की शुरुआत की जेएनवी में संसद की प्रतियोगिता

युवा छात्रों में एक अंतर्दृष्टि विकसित करने में युवा संसद का विशेष महत्व है। इस प्रकार, एनवीएस में युवा संसद होने का उद्देश्य है:
1. छात्रों को संसदीय प्रक्रिया को समझने के लिए।
2. छात्रों में संसद के कामकाज के बारे में अंतर्दृष्टि विकसित करने के लिए
3. छात्रों को सार्वजनिक मुद्दों पर विचार करने और उन पर अपनी राय बनाने के लिए।
4. समूह चर्चा की तकनीक में छात्रों को प्रशिक्षित करना।
5. उनमें दूसरों के विचारों के प्रति सम्मान और सहिष्णुता, नियमों के प्रति सम्मान और उन्हें समूह व्यवहार में प्रशिक्षित करना।
6. हमारे समाज और देश के सामने आने वाली विभिन्न समस्याओं से छात्रों को अवगत कराना।
7. छात्रों में नेतृत्व के गुणों का विकास करना।
8. छात्रों को सामान्य व्यक्ति के दृष्टिकोण को समझने और उसे स्पष्ट रूप से व्यक्त करने के लिए।
 विद्यालय स्तर पर न्यायाधीशों की एक जूरी के फैसले पर आधारित एक राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रतिस्पर्धा के लिए क्षेत्रीय स्तर पर एक सर्वश्रेष्ठ टीम की पहचान की जाएगी।
 राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रतियोगिता में सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करने वाले विद्यालय को संसद सत्र की कार्यवाही देखने का अवसर मिलेगा। 
क्षेत्रीय और राष्ट्रीय दोनों स्तरों पर पहचाने गए कार्यक्रम के सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करने वालों को संसदीय मामलों के मंत्रालय से ट्रॉफी और मेमेंटो मिलेगा।
