Soni Fartiyal, an 11th-grade humanities student, overcame challenges to achieve success as an NCC cadet.

Despite being selected for the RDC camp in class 10th, Soni struggled to survive on her own and keep up with the demanding training. But she persevered and emerged from her first camp stronger and more confident. In her second camp, Soni represented the Nainital Group in Dehradun as a junior cadet. She excelled in both the march past and cultural activities, proving herself to be a talented and versatile cadet. While Soni was not selected for the RD camp again, she is proud of her accomplishments as an NCC cadet. She has learned the importance of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance. She has also developed her leadership skills and confidence. Sonis story is an inspiration to all NCC cadets. It shows that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

Rakshita Sati, The Child Scientist

Rakshita Sati, a class XII science student at JNV Tarikhet (Almora), is a shining example of how passion and hard work can lead to success. At the age of 16, she participated in the 30th National Children Science Congress (NCSC) and got selected for the national level. Her project, "Forest in Hilly Areas," focused on reducing forest fire incidents and minimizing the degraded area of forest. Rakshitas research was meticulous. She collected data from the forest department, interacted with people living in hilly areas, and visited agricultural institutes to learn more about pine needles and their potential as fuel. She also devised a homemade solution to convert pine needles into fuel and developed a sand barrier system to reduce the spread of forest fires to agricultural land. Despite being affected by malaria during the course of her project, Rakshita persevered and made significant improvements to her project. She presented her findings at the cluster and regional levels, and was eventually selected for the national level. At the national level, Rakshita met knowledgeable scientists and engineers from IIT Roorkee, who were impressed by her work. Rakshitas success story is a testament to her dedication, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. She is an inspiration to all young students who aspire to make a difference in the world.

Kirtika Tilaras Journey to National Science Exhibition

Kirtika Tilara, a Class XI Science student, was honored to represent her school at the National Science Exhibition (NSE). Along with her group members, Akansha, Vaishnavi, Pooja, Stuti, Kamika, Chandani, Jyoti, and Varsha, she was tasked to build a model water treatment plant based on the theme of Health and Cleanliness. With the guidance of their physics teacher, Mrs. Neha Sharma, and biology teacher, Miss Pratibha Rawat, the team worked tirelessly to complete their model within two days. Despite the challenges they faced, such as heavy rains and limited time, Kirtika and her team persevered and created a model that was both impressive and informative. Their efforts were rewarded when their model won first prize at the regional level. This qualified them for the national competition in Ghaziabad, where they competed against students from all over India. Kirtika and her team were thrilled to place third in the national competition, especially considering the caliber of their competition. Kirtikas journey to the NSE was an educational and mesmerizing one. She learned valuable skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance. She also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of water treatment and sanitation. Kirtika is grateful for the opportunity to have participated in the NSE, and she encourages other students to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams.

The Rise of a Handball Prodigy: Babita Rawats Inspiring Journey to SGFI Success

Babita Rawat, an 8th-grade student from Almora, has scripted a remarkable success story through her unwavering dedication to Handball. Introduced to the sport at J.N.V Tarikhet Almora, she was a novice in the 7th grade, but her heart was set on Handball. With unwavering determination, she practiced diligently, overcoming injuries and setbacks. These challenges fueled her resolve. Babita used every free moment to refine her Handball skills. Her dedication paid off when she earned a spot in the national stage through Navodaya and the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), showcasing the power of perseverance, passion, and unwavering determination.
