The 17th September, 2009 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Baithalangso, West Karbi Anglong was laid down by Hon'ble Deputy Commissiner R.O Shillong, Sri Debananda Hazarika in the presence of Hon'ble Dr. Mansing Rongpi (MLA Baithalangso Constituency), Shri Joyram Engleng (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Deputy commissioner of undivided karbi anglong district.
JNV Baithalangso was established in the temporary building provided by the Dist. Authority in Primary Health centre in the village Kuthorbangla, Baithalangso and shifted in the permanent building in Sept. 2017. Our Vidyalaya is situated in the fifth seismic zone of our country.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Baithalangso, is situated at Kuthorbangla Village, near Longjap Market, PO- Hongkram, Baithalangso.Vidyalaya is at the distance of 10 KM from Baithalangso Town and 50 KM away from the district head quarter, Hamren. Vidyalaya is connected through railway network to the Kampur Railway Station at the distance of 25 KM and Hojai Railway station at the distance of 35 KM. Distance from the state capital(Dispur Guwahati) is 150 KM.
The school campus covers around 16.3 acres of government land of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council. The Vidyalaya is bordering with Nagaon District in the North side . There is a weekly market near by the the vidyalaya which used to held in every saturday of the week.
Under the migration policy our school is linked with JNV Surajpur, Chhatisgarh and migration policy is undergoing successfully from the both side of Vidyalayas .
