One of the main objectives of setting up Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in different parts of our country as a part of the National Education Policy of 1986 is to provide good quality modern education with a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of environment, adventure Had to do. activities and physical education to the talented children mainly from rural areas and thus developing an all round personality to bring out the best in the child. With this objective, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Tapi district was started functioning in 1988. Initially JNV Tapi started functioning in a temporary building at Vyara (presently district headquarter of Tapi district) and later shifted to permanent location at Borkhadi where the Vidyalaya is. Currently working.     Since its inception, the Vidyalaya is working and realizing the long cherished goals set by the founding fathers of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. 

The mind is like a parachute and it will work best when it is opened. The need of the hour is to recognize and appreciate the innate talents and creativity of children and to create a platform to express these innate talents and creativity by setting free in the world of imagination and experience. JNV TAPI is providing all opportunities to the students to express their innate talent and creativity thus ensuring all round development of the personality of the students.
