One fine and auspicious day, on 7th September 1987, the foundation stone of JNV Serchhip was laid with a lot of zeal , hope and anticipation to realize the long cherished dream of the people of Serchhip to possess its own J.N.V.
This landmark event sowed the seed of hope for an excellent system of Education to be yielded to Serchhipians (People of Serchhip). Spanning an area of 40 acres , the school dwells on the low foothills of the Khiangzan Ram Range. The school which is located to the west of Thenzawl town, 4.7 KM off the Aizawl-Lunglei Road , can be reached in just 10 Minutes drive from Thenzawl town via Thenzawl –Buarpui Road. Adjacent to JNV Serchhip is the Police Training School, (PTS), Thenzawl of Mizoram Police .
