Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Konark, Puri is established with noble objective of providing good quality modern education to the talented students predominantly hailing from rural areas irrespective of their socio-economic status. Through the use of modern technicques and pedagogy in a stress of free environment to make the learning a joyful one. To nurture and promote the talent and creativity of the students by providing the best opportunities and resources to make them more resourceful, innovative, creative, competitive, cooperative, collaborative, adaptive and productive members of ever changing global society. To develop integrated personalty of students under residential co-educational set up of this Vidyalaya leading to character building. Through value orientation and ultimately developing student to good human being and an asset to our nation.

JNV KONARK is located at the eastern coast of Odisha, behind the world famous UNESCO Heritage Site, KONARK SUN TEMPLE. It is surrounded by thick Casuarina forest. The gentle breeze of the Chandrabhaga Beach soothes the campus all through the year. Like the world famous Konark Temple where the stone speaks the language of humen, same is the truth about the students of JNV Konark who portray the soul of Odisha. In academics JNV Konark is quite excellent. In the last five year consequitively it has been producing centpercent first class in both X and XII with quality. Besides this, students' performance in other fields like games/sports, cultural and literay is exceedingly well. Continous effort is being made to outshine in each and every field.
JNV Konark has a beautiful campus with lush greenery and varieties of ornamental and flowering plants. Very often it fascinates the people to visit the vidyalaya again and again.
