Co-curricular Activities (CCA) ensures the harmonious growth of personality in children. CCA are an extension of the formal learning experiences and play a vital role in supplementing the academic activities. They develop interest and help to improve language skill, Communicative skill, Histrionic skill and the artistic skill of the child. CCA also help to improve analytical thrust for knowledge competitive spirit, value orientation, leadership teamwork and various other facets of life. To inculcate all the said qualities, quiz, recitation, extempore speech, elocution, debate, mono act, fancy dress, competitions are conducted in JNVs as per a well planned CCA calendar throughout the academic year. Co-curricular Activities are organized frequently through Inter-House Competitions at senior and junior level with a view to make the students achieve competence and self-confidence. Co-curricular Activities cover all the areas which ensure development of holistic personality and every JNV is providing ample opportunities to the students to develop their inborn talents and abilities through CCA. In addition to this, various clubs like Eco, Literary, Science, Mathematics, Cultural, Arts, Music, Readers, Health & wellness and Hindi club in the Vidyalaya also conduct numerous events to enrich the students in their particular field. Further, Navodaya family under one roof promotes national integration policy, celebrates regional, religious and national festivals much to the unique principle and feeling of oneness.
The Vidyalaya CCA committee shall conduct co-curricular activities as per the dates decided by the CCA committee and approved by Principal. On these days normal remedial study is suspended and the teachers on duty will organize the Programmes like inter house debate, essay, elocution, drama and other competitions. On the scheduled days after the remedial study inter house sports competitions are scheduled as per the calendar of activities. The co-curricular plan is up to the month of DECEMBER only. All the literary, cultural and Sports and games competitions and inter house competitions will conclude before the winter break i.e., before Dussara /Dewali vacation as far as possible. The winners and runners will be given prizes on the annual day/annual sports day of the Vidyalaya or31st March-2018 along with annual results declaration. After the completion of the co-curricular activities competitions the points given for each house on the basis of their performance in the CCA declared. With inclusion of CCA, Extra-Curricular Activities and Academic performance points the best house will be declared for the year. During this period, on the national festivals and important days such National sports Day, Human rights day, etc., will be celebrated in the Morning assembly as per allotment to various teacher/departments. Competitions of any kind will not be conducted, since the students have to concentrate on their studies. After the completion of the these activities the student’s academic performance will be measured house wise to award points for each house to adjudge the best house of the Vidyalaya.
THE HOUSE ON DUTY FOR VARIOUS ACTIVITIES IS AS UNDER
The house on duty houses will conduct assembly activities for the allotted month. House on duty will coordinate with CCA and other Departments in conducting the various programmes. The house on duty Associate house master will escort the migration students to local market once in a month for needs on any Sunday. Matron will escort Migration girls on Sundays every month, if required.

CHAMPION HOUSE
Every year by the end of February, points awarded for Inter House CCA and sports/games competitions (as well for all other Inter-House Competitions conducted in the Vidyalaya, e.g. wall-magazine, gardening, morning assembly, cleanliness etc.) to each House will be totalled up. Thus, points of a Senior House and corresponding Junior House are added together to declare a Champion House.
The principal and Vice Principal will adjudge the house cleanliness during his regular visits, in the year 16-17, it could not take place, but this year this will be done meticulously. The house cleanliness marks will be added to their performance in CCA and Academic performance. Beside this on national festivals house decoration competition and classroom decoration competition will be organized to inculcate the patriotic and national feeling among the students. As per the directions of the NVS this Vidyalaya is going to organize youth parliament twice in year, one in first term and second in second term.
Adolescence Education Programme is being taken up by this Vidyalaya. The AEP master trainers are instructed to conduct various programmes from time to time. The programmes include lectures by the staff members and outside resource persons. Painting, poster competition, and slogan competitions will be conducted. The pace setting activities plan is incorporated the AEP plan also,as per the directions of NVS,vide Lr.NO.34-1/Misc/2014-NVS[Acad]/228,Dated:25-01-2018.As per PAP-2019-20,the detailed plan is attached at the end of the plan.
Vigilance Awareness week will be observed in the first week of the November–2018.the Vigilance Awareness week is scheduled from 3rd November to November 7, 2018. The Programme for the Vigilance Awareness is included in the CCA plan.
