One of the important objective with which the Navodaya Vidyalayas have been opened is that these Vidyalayas also act as Pace Setters by organising different activities in the field of education in the district. The main aim of the pace setting activities is to bring community in the vidyalaya & to take vidayalaya to the community by sharing the infrastructure and facilities available in the vidyalaya. JNV Bilaspur plays a vital role for the improvement in the quality of school education in district Bilaspur through sharing infrastructure, facilities & experiences. Also the vidyalaya organises different activities for the academic excellence of the community. Vidyalaya organises co-curricular activities for the neighbouring schools of the district and different types of community services like coaching of students for JNVST, Mobile Library etc. and also organises awareness campaigns on health & hygeine and for the eradication of evils in the society.
