Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office, Patna was establised during the year 1994 with 27 JNVs in Bihar
State. That time the state Jharkhand was not bifurcated from Bihar State. In the year 2000, Jharkhand state
was bifurcated from Bihar State. Later on, Government of West Bengal also accepted the scheme for opening of
JNVs in West Bengal State and thus all these three States i.e, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal are being
Monitored by the Regional Office, Patna.

       Gradually, with the passing of years and creation of new districts in every state, the number of JNVs
rose to 84 at present.
 
       NVS, RO, Patna shifted to Karpuri Thakur Sadan, Kendriya Karyalay Parisar, Block- A&B 5th Floor
Ashiyana Digha Road, Patna-25 permanently. The Regional Office, Patna is grateful to the Hon'ble Commissioner,
NVS, HQrs for his sincere efforts to bring RO, from Boring Road Office to a posh colony after two decades.

      "Shaala Darpan" is a good initiative to make the dream successful of our nation - Digital India.  
I salute the officers of NVS, HQ for their endeavor in introducing Shaala Darpan.

       The above success history of JNVs under Patna Region attributes mostly to the dedication and utmost
devotion of the Teachers and the Principals who relentlessly offered services to do the Navodaya proud,though
there were many constrains like shortage of staff especially staff, accommodation, water and proper
electricity supply etc.

       The students of Navodaya are though talented and potential learners but they need proper counseling,
guidance, motivation and affection. Hence our onus is far more than counterparts in other schools. The 
students of Navodaya are doing well in every sphere and we feel proud on their performance.
