Malappuram in Kerala as a historical place of interest has a very rich and eventful history, and is situated on the Calicut - Madras road, 12 km. south - west of Manjeri and 52 km. south - west of Calicut. Malappuram is the head quarters of this historically important district.The historical destination of Malapuram was the military headquarters of the Zamorins of Kozhikode since ancient times. This historically significant district was the venue for many of the Mappilla revolts (uprisings against the British East India Company in Kerala) between 1792 and 1921.The hill country has also contributed much to the cultural heritage of Kerala.

The campus, comprising of 13.71 acres of land . There are 11 houses - 6 boys houses and 5 girls houses for the strength of 258 boys and 255 girls total 513. The houses are in five separate blocks. The staff residences are situated near the houses to monitor the activities effectively for safety purpose of students.

The historical destination of Malappuram (literally, a land atop hills)in Kerala is bounded by the Nilgiri hills on the east, the Arabian sea on the west and Thrissur and Palakkad districts on the south. Malappuram is enriched by three great rivers flowing through it - the Chaliyar, the Kadalundi and the Bharathapuzha.
