JNV Madhepura was established in the year 1994. Its foundation stone of was laid by the then Minister of HRD, Govt. of India, Shri S.R. Bomay in the premises of State Govt. Teachers' Training College and the Chief Guest on the occasion was the then Chief Minister of Bihar, Sri Laloo Prasad Yadav. This is situated almost eight KM apart from the District Head Quarter at Madhepura, Sukhasan west of a historical place 'Singheswar Sthan' famous for Lord Shiva Temple. It is said that once ever in early century this place was used to be Maharshi Shringee Rishi's Place of Action (Tapobhumi). It is a full-fledged residential Vidyalaya under Patna Region of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti where Students (Boys & GIrls) are studying from Class VI to XII and there are two streams (Scinece & Commerce) for Class XI & XII.
