YP is basically a scheme being run by the ministry to create awareness among the youth of our nation about working of the parliament of India so that they can get an overlook about the nature of work being run in parliament .The purpose is to train students in the technique of group discussion, to develop in the students the quality of leadership, to develop respect and tolerance for the views of others etc.

JNV Ludhiana has also conducted youth parliament to enable the students to fulfil the above said objectives laid by the ministry to inculcate amongst students and students during the mock session bring out their latent talent and presented their best. They were able to learn to listen and put forward the anthetic issue and tackle the problems of life by participating in such events.
