जेएनवी यचुली के बारे में
02 दिसंबर, 1995 सबसे शुभ दिन था जब जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय, यचुली, लोअर सुबनसिरी की आधारशिला नवोदय विद्यालय समिति, क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय-शिलांग के तत्कालीन उपायुक्त माननीय श्री देवानंद हजारिका द्वारा रखी गई थी। स्कूल का परिसर लगभग 30 एकड़ के जंगल में पहाड़ी से घिरा हुआ है, जिसकी इमारतें खड़ी और घुमावदार रास्तों से जुड़ी हुई हैं और हर मोड़ पर शानदार दृश्य प्रस्तुत करती हैं। इन इमारतों में सुंदर पुराना क्वाड, आधुनिक बुनियादी ढांचे की आधुनिक स्थिति और नए बने छात्र हॉस्टल और स्टाफ हाउस शामिल हैं। कई कक्षाओं सहित शैक्षणिक भवनों को एक कंप्यूटर नेटवर्क द्वारा जोड़ा जाता है। ईमेल और एक इंट्रानेट प्रणाली का व्यापक उपयोग दूरियों को सिकोड़ता है और कर्मचारियों, छात्रों और प्रशासन को एक दूसरे के साथ त्वरित और आसान संपर्क में रखता है। विद्यालय मुख्य इटानगर-जीरो राजमार्ग पर देवदार के पेड़ों के ढेर से घिरा हुआ है।
