Vidyalaya library plays a vital role for the development of holistic personality of students and a good resource for teachers. Vidyalaya has a rich collection of books including encyclopaedias, reference books, biographies of eminent personalities etc. For the effective functioning of Library and maximum uses, Vidyalaya follows the guidelines of NVS and conduct various activities throughout the session. Celebration of National Book Week, readers club activities, career guidance & sharing of library resources with neighbouring schools are some of the activities conducted by Vidyalaya. The library service will be supplement and complement to the class room teaching. Library will remain open for students from 10:30 Hrs to 12:30 hrs and 15:30 Hrs to 16:30 Hrs every Sunday/holiday (Except Independence & Republic Day).

Chemistry Laboratory in JNV Korba is well equipped with modern equipments like ICT, heating arrangement of burners, distillation apparatus, racks containing glass bottles of Chemicals, test tubes, beakers, funnel, titration, flasks etc. In chemistry lab 40 students can perform experiments at a time. Chemistry lab is also equipped with models related to various topics for easy understanding of the topic.

The Vidyalaya has well equipped biology laboratory cum class rooms. The biology lab has all the modern instruments for experimentation. In order to provide firsthand experience to students about microscopic objects, digital microscope is also installed which can be connected with the projector. The biology laboratory is fully equipped with ICT oriented teaching learning process. The facility of high speed internet and various hardware such as computer desktop, UPS, Projector, Screen, Speakers, Headphone etc as well as software such as Microsoft office, Viola are available for promoting creativity, critical thinking and collaboration among students.

Vidyalaya has separate hostels for boys and girls. These houses are divided in two groups, Senior and Junior Houses. When a child admitted in the Vidyalaya and joins a House, he/she continue in the same House (names as Arawali, Shivalik, Neelgiri and Udaygiri) till he/she passed out from Vidyalaya as per the guidelines of NVS. There are 04 boys dormitories with the capacity of 480 and 02 girls dormitories with the capacity of 240 girls. Additional construction of jali is made to ensure safety and security of girls. All dormitories are well equipped and furnished with basic facility of bathrooms, toilets. Every types of facilities viz house library, house wise CCA , Games are provided to the students.

A beautiful & resourceful Museum Corner was started in Vidyalaya in 2002-03 but now a days it has taken a shape of small museum & has become a great source of knowledge for the students & visitors. Its interior is especially designed on local based architecture. Also having beautiful historical sulcuptures of Guptas, Palas, Rural area of Jharkhand, North east, Punjab, Rajsthan, Himachal, Indus Valley Civilization etc. purchased from different sources. This museum is having a good collection of art & craft specimen of different states. Miniature painting of different styles is also a part of this museum. In nutshell, it a great source of inspiration to its visitor.

Vidyalaya is having well equipped computer, LCD projectors. 16 Latest Desktop computers with 1 TB Hard Disk, I3 Processor, 8GB RAM and Windows 10 OS. 14 Desktop computers with P4 Processor and 512 MB RAM. 1 Color Printer and 1 Black and White Laser Printer. 5 Computer with JioFi Internet facility. The lab is fully networked. The lab is used for ICT based teaching-leaning process. All the computers are equipped with CLIx provided softwares like Freeplane, GeoGebra, Inkscape, Libre Office, PHet. The students perform practical of computer science subject under the guidance and supervision of computer teachers. All teachers have been trained and students are using computers to prepare projects. The computer lab is maintained by the FCSA.

Vidyalaya has ample facilities for the promotion of games and sports activities and maintaining the physical fitness of the students. Various sports activities are conducted as per well planned activity Calendar for the whole session. The resources available including play ground are optimally utilized for organizing various games and sports activities. JNV Korba organizes school level, cluster level and regional level competitions for various games and sports activities every year. Besides this Vidyalaya has sufficient infrastructure for various indoor and outdoor games like Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Kabaddi, Table-Tennis, Judo, Volley-ball, Football, Tae-Kwon-do etc, Cricket, Handball etc.

Maths lab in JNV Korba is well equipped with various study materials like charts, shapes and theorem based models. For better understanding of the students we have incorporated ICT and we have sample materials related to it. We also use puzzles and games for creative learning and these methods creates interest among students towards mathematics and they learn and enjoy at same time. In our lab we have different kind of board for explanation purpose such as magnetic board and white board. We have notice board in our lab which we update time to time so that students know what is happening in the field of mathematics in present time or what are the recent development in the field of mathematics. Students from 6th to 10th class use this lab and material which is required in the maths lab is available it.

The dining hall of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Salora Korba provides nourishing, healthy meals to the students. Vidyalaya mess committee decides the menu in accordance to the budget, keeping in mind the needs and desires of the children. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are served and the students often play an active part in menu planning. The school is very particular about cultural and religious sentiments. There are two regular employees and nine casual workers working under the supervision of a Catering Assistant to meet the mess requirements.

Physics lab of JNV Korba is fully specious having seating capacity of 40 students. It is altogether equipped with adequate instrument required for conducting practical and other related activities of the subject matter. It is facilitated with projector for ICT based learning, where the theory classes as well as experiments and activities can be perform simultaneously. The instruments like Telescope, Microscope, Travelling Microscope, Binoculars, Plasma Ball, CRO, Spectrometer, Models of electric moter and generator, engines etc. are available in the Physics lab. This is fully cater to the need of junior as well as senior students. It also provides the opportunity to neighbouring school to conduct subject related practical under pace setting activities.
