“One child, one teacher, one pen, and one book can change the world.”
---- Malala Yousafzai (Nobel Laureate)
I warmly welcome you to the website of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Mohangarh District – Jaisalmer (Raj.) I hope that as you browse through the site discovering what we have to offer, you will find why Navodaya is called “a home away from home”.
The role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of a dynamic global society.
I enjoy celebrating successes and acknowledge hard work of staff, students and community and believe this is one of the contributors fundamental to make the school ‘a school with a difference’.
I am a passionate supporter of effective and innovative professional development that encourages teachers and principals to be reflective and to continuously examine our practice to provide quality teaching and learning for each student. My role as Principal is to keep up with latest educational trends and pedagogical innovations and be an active partner in the school's professional development. The school is trying hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values combining with academics and extra-curricular activities in the children.
We support the individual wellbeing of our students and provide a school environment that allows every student to thrive as they work towards achieving their personal best performance. We set expectations for our students as per their innate ability and work hard to safeguard their positive emotions. We are co-ordinator in learning with our students and strive to deepen their knowledge by provide enriching and innovative learning experiences. Being a Co-educational school, we also gently urge our girls out of their comfort zone to attempt new challenges and become the future leaders and role models of society.
Alumni engagement and involvement in the school is important to me as Principal. I regularly consult with Alumni as a part of school, self review and encourage their engagement in the admission procedure and other developmental activities of the school.
Learning has now become a joint effort of school, society and learner. If teachers and parents are standing with the learners, learning will become a celebration for them. In this context, I am looking forward to parents to come and speak to us in person to make the learning more joyful and useful. I also look forward to working with them as we like to create a modern gurukul where parents are welcome at anytime. Their constructive suggestions will always be valued and implemented for the all-round development of their wards and infrastructural development of the school as well.
I pay my sincere gratitude to the parents and society for putting their faith in us. I wish the best of luck, peace and prosperity to all those who contribute to the noble task of spreading education and its manifest qualities, aims and objectives.
