The 10^th October 1996 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Piprakothi was laid down by Hon’ble District Magistrate Sh. J.S.Prasad at temporary site near SSB Camp and vidyalaya was shifted to permanent site in 1996 hardly one kilometer away from the temporary site in piprakothi itself. The permanent site of the vidyalaya is situated adjacent to National High Way NH28 at Piprakothi only 14 Km away from the District Head Quarter, Motihari and at 16 kms from Bapudham Railway Station. This is the place from where Mahatma Gandhi started I^st satyagraha movement in 1917 during the British Colonial Period which is known as Champaran satyagraha movement, placed as a land mark in the History of Independent India. Vidyalaya comes near the Himalaya region where climate is very good. Some times cold wave is blowing. This vidyalaya is spread in 24 acres of land. The academic building is surrounded by the grove of trees such as mangoes, Guave, Black berry and other seasonal fruity trees along with beautiful flowers garden. The natural beauty & atmosphere of the vidyalaya is quite serene and conducive to the teaching & learning process.
