On 27 April 1998, on the auspicious day, the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Goju, Bordumsa District Changlang was laid . The school campus covers around 32 acres of a plain land with its buildings, offering spectacular views at every turn of the tea gardens. These buildings include the beautiful old Academic Block, the modern state of art infrastructure with new and old students' hostels and staff quarters. The academic building has coulorful view with all digital classrooms. The widespread use of email and an internet system shrinks the distances and keeps staff, students and administration in quick and easy contact with one another. The Vidyalaya is surrounded by the tea gardens on the main Pan Arunachal Linked National Highway (NH-315) at Goju.
