The Navodaya Vidyalayas have been envisaged as pace-setting institutions, centres of educational excellence, providing opportunities for development, not only to Navodaya Vidyalaya students, but also to the children of neighbouring rural area schools through sharing of resources. Leadership qualities and other educational concerns that are linked to community and national developments are also supposed to be inculcated through pace-setting activities. “The aim of the pace-setting activities is to galvanize the academic, social, cultural and community oriented environment of schools,” in the vicinity. By virtue of having a highly qualified and competent team of teachers, good laboratories and IT infrastructure, teaching aids and sports equipment and rich libraries, JNVs are in a position to function as a “focal point for improvement in the quality of school education in general, through sharing of experience and facilities”. Interactions of staff and students of Navodaya Vidyalayas with their counterparts in adjoining schools, participation in joint community efforts, adoption of a village for awareness programmes and sharing of educational facilities are some of the pace-setting activities undertaken by Navodaya Vidyalaya. JNVs also make general attempts to involve the local school community in disseminating the modern school practices with a view to improve school eco-system.

The Aim of Pace Setting Activities in Our Vidyalaya (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Buldana) :                                                        

Pace Setting Activities predominantly aim at galvanising academic, social, cultural and community oriented environment of schools, places in the vicinity. They aim at participating in various pro-social activities that happen in the close proximity of the JNVs. In a way it also renders remarkable benefit in developing personality of the students.  JNV Buldana is also no exception for the fact as it participates whole heartedly in the Pace Setting Activities programme in true spirit. It has been the glorious tradition of JNV Buldana of participating in Dindi function of Lord Shri.  Gajanan. It is the belief of so many many people that the city owes to benevolently graceful shrine of Lord Shri.  Gajanan. In a way, it’s a firm belief of many that the Lord also showers His blissful blessings on the Vidyalaya.

Pace Setting Activities :-

1. Visit of Staff Nurse to near by schools with class IX students and shown them first-aid box and given them information  on first-aid & its importance.
2. Visit of two near by Primary schools to our vidyalaya to learn how a residential school works & their visit to science labs and computer labs.
3. Free Dental check-up camp by Alumni Students in our vidyalaya.  
4. Visit of PET (Female) to teach warm-up exercises to the students of govt. middle school shegaon.
5. Conducted Eye check-up camp in vidyalaya premisesby Alumni.
6. Conducted Swachhta Rally in Chincholi near by villages by NCC / S & G students.
7. Conducted AIDS awareness Rally on 1st December in sawarna village.
8. Participation of VIII & IX Students with teachers in GAJANAN MAHARAJ Dindi at Shegaon.
9. Science Day celebration on 28th Feb involving community.
