Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Boudh, has been serving the society meritoriously since two decades. It is fully residential co-educational institution established under the NPE 1986 by Ministry of HRD to provide quality modern education to the talented children of rural area including strong component of culture, adventure activities, awareness of environment, Physical education, Promotion of National Integration. It is a full fledged institution, in lush green setting with play ground, well equipped laboratories, a library with 4500 books, Museum corners, Mathematics laboratory, Art Room, Music room, Resource room and Computer Laboratory.
Present age, being the age of Information Technology, Students from class VI are encouraged to handle computer. Almost all teachers have undergone Technology for Education training programme, a part of project Shikshya, conducted by Microsoft to support and enrich learning process and to empower technology skills in teachers.
Its contribution towards social and humanitarian cause has been significant. Its Scout and Guides unit, provide forum for such activities.
There are various committees like Parent Teacher Council, Vidyalaya Advisory Committee, Vidyalaya Management Committee and Purchased Advisory Committee for the smooth administration of the Vidyalaya. Hon'ble Collector is the Chairman of the Vidyalaya whose guidance and advice is taken as and when required.
