The 26th Oct, 2017 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Lawan, Baloda Bazar was laid down by then Hon Speaker of Chhattisgarh State Assembly Shri Gorishankar Agarwal. The school temporary campus covers around 3.1 acres of plain land in the Lawan village with open and windy place and offering spectacular views at every turn. Big playground in front of the school building. The academic buildings including several classrooms are linked by a computer network. The widespread use of email and an intranet system shrinks the distances and keeps staff, students and administration in quick and easy contact with one another. The Vidyalaya is surrounded by the trees with pure and healthy environment on the main Baloda bazar-Kasdol State Highway, at Lawan.
