About JNV Bellary
This school is situated in an exemplary place of the magnificent Vijayanagara Empire. Founded by Harihara and Bukka in 1336, it fell to the rulers of Northern India in 1565 after the Battle of Talikota, and subsequently lapsed into decline and abandonment Hampi at Hospet. This place is a holy place for all in the Karnataka state in Bellary District. This part of land has having rich and varied points of historical importance. This pilgrim place makes this Vidyalaya an abode of excellent learning up to +2 levels.
Being one of the oldest Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in India it has got a wide and green campus at the village CHIKKAJOGIHALLI about 20 K.Ms away from the Taluka place Kudiligi. Buses for all the important cities i.e Hospet, Chitradurga, Bengaluru are readily available as this Vidyalaya is very adjacent to the National Highway No: 34. All the long route buses are touching M.B.INAHLLI to reach this Vidyalaya. This Vidyalaya is around 400 K.Ms away from the Regional Office, Hyderabad. You may reach here from R.O. Head Quarters in 9-10 hours bus journey. The nearest Railway Station is at CHITRADURGA AND HOSPET, Karnataka, which connects through Southern, Western. The other major nearest Railway Junction is BELLARY which connects you from Southern, West Coast, Western Railways.
This Vidyalaya has a residential set up with all possible infrastructural facilities to make the learning an Innovation Odyssey for the rural and talented students of this locality. There are around 475 students on roll with better results in science stream with nationally accredited on “B” grade school.
