JNV Bagalkot started functioning from September 16, 2001 at Badami, the land of CHALUKYAS which is recognized globally as the world heritage place. The temporary building was situated on the way from Badami to Banashankari in the premises of Sri. Kalidas Institutes of Education. The Vidyalaya shifted to its permanent building at Chirlakoppa in 2004 which is situated in a serene, sylvan surrounding amidst scenic beauty with eco-friendly atmosphere. It is just 2 km away from the NH-218 connecting Hubballi and Vijayapur. The District Headquarter Bagalkot is at a distance of 48 km. The nearest Railway Station is BADAMI (23 kms) on the South Western Railway. The Vidyalaya has got very good infrastructural facilities in its 32 acres of land.
