I feel immense pleasure to inform your good self that in accordance with New Education Policy(1986) Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are started through Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti on Autonoumas Organization under Ministry of HRD, Dept. of Education, Govt. of India to establish one Vidyalaya in each district of the country. At present 598 JNVs are functioning in all over India including seven union territories. These are completely residential, co-educational institutions starts from Class-VI to XII affiliated to CBSE.
75 % of seats are reserved to the children who are studying in rural areas. 15 % of seats are reserved for SC & 7.5 % of sets are reserved to ST and 30 % of sets are reserved for Girl’s students. District Collector of the concerned district acts as a Chairman of the Vidyalaya for smooth functioning of the Vidyalaya as well as administrative support.
In Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti students are provided with free lodging and boarding facilities as well as students are provided books, stationery, toiletry items, uniform etc. at free of cost by Govt. of India.
In our Gujarat state 32 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are running in different 32 districts.
Our Vidyalaya is started at temporary site of Leprosy Hospital Building , Old Court, Narol for the academic year 2017-18 and now Shifted to permanent site building at Hathijann Gam Village,Ta Vatwa,Dist Ahmedabad. It spreads over 10 acres of land. At present our Vidyalaya is having Class VI to IX.
At present students are studying and residing in this Vidyalaya.
During the short academic period , Our vidyalaya has organize many programme in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
