NLI Kamrup is well equipped with all modern state-of-the-art infrastructures. The conference hall, lecture hall, computer Lab, Library- all speak of the facility provided to the trainees. As a training institute for the entire north east states, NLI Kamrup is providing training to teaching and non teaching staff of NVS. It conducts regular training as per the guidelines and schedule of NVS headquarter and also the trainings of RO Shillong.
This institute conducts Induction course for newly recruited teachers, subject specific content enrichment programme, workshop etc. Various professional development programme based on the current need are also conducted for the staff. The training programme offers vast opportunity to the trainees to open up their minds, to get exposure to different learning experience, to know the latest know-how around them, the advancement in technology and its use at workplace etc. All these they get under one umbrella as the institute invites resource persons who are quite experience in their relevant fields. Besides experts from NVS, trainees get to interact with resource person from NIPCCD, NERIE, IIT Guwahati, Guwahati University, other reputed colleges, IIM Army, sports college etc. The interactive approach with the use of ICT is the focus of this institute. As it is still in its initial stage, this institute has a long way to go. The positive feedback from the participants keeps our hope intact. The skills, expertise learnt at training programme are being implemented sincerely at vidyalaya level and this will certainly help in realizing the aims and objectives of the organization.
