Navodaya vidyalayas are pace setting institutes. Keeping this in view the school proposes to take up the following pace setting activities during this academic session
§ Mass contact programme by the students to help eradicate illiteracy in the near by village

§ Presentation of cultural items in the neighbouring schools to promote cultural integrity.

§ To invite the neighbouring schools of the district to participate in various competitions organized by the school.

§ Providing computer training to the teachers and students of neighbouring schools as part of Computer Literacy Programme.

§ Mobile library to create awareness among the people about the importance of reading and learning.

§ To organize workshops to promote Yakshagana and Bharathanatyam, the traditional art/ dance forms which are exemplary examples of the cultural heritage of Karnataka.

§ To join with the KMC, Manipal. in organizing medical camps to create awareness among the people regarding health and hygiene.

§ Friendly volley ball matches and football matches with Vidyalaya team and local teams.

§ Conducting environment awareness programme in the locality through road shows

§ Campaigning and fund raising for the cause of communal harmony
