About JNV Sidhi
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Churhat Distt. Sidhi (M.P.) has been functioning since 15.09.1987 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education Govt. of India. The school campus covers around 40 acres of forested hillside with its buildings connected by steep and windy paths and offering spectacular views at every turn. These buildings include the beautiful clusters of student hostels and staff quarters. The academic buildings includes several classrooms linked by a computer network. The widespread use of email and an intranet system shrinks the distance and keeps staff, students and administration in quick and easy contact with one another. The temples of the great deity Lord Shiva and Pawan Putra Hanuman are situated in the school premises and both superspiritual bodies are showering their blessings over the family of this vidyalaya. The Vidyalaya is surrounded by the grove of Teak Wood, margosa, tamarind ,mango trees,Goose Berry,guava,Amaltas,Gulmohar,Palash,Shesham,Pipal,Banyan Tree,Mahua,Kadamb Tree etc. on the main Jhansi-Shaktinagar- Ranchi National Highway (NH-39), at Churhat. The vidyalay has a panoramic view of the Kaimur hills and Vindhya plateau blazing with flowers and flame of forest and intoxicated by the sweet smell of Mahua flowers. The school is located on the lap of divine nature, in the mists of two hills, on the bank of the Son river it is also birth place of Birbal at Sihawal in Sidhi one amongst Navaratna of the great Mugal emperor Akbar.
