Welcome to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,Nainital. Since its establishment in 2002, it has been continuing its efforts in imparting modern and quality education to the selected rural children of the district who would, otherwise, have been deprived of such facilities . Free education, boarding and lodging have made this Vidyalaya as a unique institute. I am sure, that this Vidyalaya will emerge as a pace setting institute of the district and will keep its efforts continued for a better tomorrow

To provide good quality, modern education including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of environment, adventure activities and physical education to the talented children from the rural areas, without regard to their families’ socio-economic conditions.
To ensure that all the students of the Vidyalaya attain a reasonable level of competency in three languages as envisaged in three language formula.
To promote National Integration by providing opportunities to talented children, predominantly from rural areas of our country, to inculcate the spirit to live and learn together and develop their full potential.
To, serve in each district, as focal point for improvement in quality of school education through sharing of experience and facilities.
